Experience that counts
My diverse and extensive career in the Early Years sector, spanning over 20 years, has included working with private families, private day care, primary schools and social services nurseries as well as later being involved in recruiting and training learners and working closely with employers.
Over the years, I have been involved in helping set up and grow several training companies in order to ensure that the Early Years care competencies have been met, which has involved working closely with workplaces and employers throughout London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. My experience also includes working as a Traineeship/Apprenticeship Manager within large FE colleges and whilst the quality standards were met, so were the individual needs of the learners, resulting in 100% learner achievement records. This, in turn assisted the employers to develop a strong, competent and motivated member of their team.
Pastoral care, both holistic and realistic are continuously implemented and mindfulness of the needs of children at the core of the training experience and the teaching, are applied. The training is bespoke, practical and fun and meets the levels required to support, stretch and challenge and achieve, whilst ensuring the NCFE/CACHE National Occupational requirements are adhered to. I believe in adapting my teaching and assessment methods to the individual needs and personalities of the learner which builds their self-esteem and confidence, throughout their learning journey and gives them the practical skills for the working environment.
The childcare sector is ever-changing and my training reflects this, ensuring the learners receive meaningful and relevant teaching and learning experiences in line with their own individual learning style.
“I started my Level 1 course with Alice in 2015 and she is one of the reasons why I continued to my Level 2 and now currently studying my Level 3. She has and continues to inspire me throughout. An exceptional teacher/assessor with ample knowledge. No hesitation recommending her to other students as you will be in good hands.”
